FAQ’S About Our Residential Training Classes
Q: Can I get a Residential Certification?
A: Yes! Once you register with IDEA, you can test at our facility on the last day of training.
Q: Will I be able to install doors after completing this training?
A: That is our goal as we are sure it is yours HOWEVER, a lot depends on that. While it is our deepest intention to have you as ready as possible, nothing truly beats time, experience and the amount of commitment you put into your career. Depending on the training you are in, you will leave having torn down and installed at least 3 doors as well as performed troubleshooting and service. You will be familiar with the basics and everything to get you started. Now it is up to you to get started and we are here to help!
Q: Where can I learn more about your online classes?
Our online classes are designed to work in conjunction with our in-person, hands-on training. Residential Garage Door – Installation Training covers components, garage door installations, opener installations, as well as both types of springs and numerous track configurations. Residential Garage Door – Service Training covers topics including routine general maintenance, spring replacement, spring conversions and track adjustments. More classes are coming soon!
